Pine Island is different. Every summer we build a unique community, one that draws on and is enhanced by the talents and energy of every one of our campers and staff. It’s something special. It starts with small successes: hiking a mountain, making a shelter, learning to row. It’s strengthened with good humor, music, and creative storytelling. As the summer progresses, a group of boys who are learning and growing as individuals also begin working together as a team. Each boy discovers that his participation is necessary and that what he has to offer is valuable.
Each year it’s different, and each year it’s great.
