As you all know, this was Sumner Ford’s last summer as director of Pine Island Camp – a role he shared this summer with our new director, Alex Toole. This month, Sumner will embark on a new challenge as the Associate Director of Philanthropy for The Nature Conservancy in Vermont.
While we will greatly miss his presence, we are excited that he has found a role that will allow him to significantly contribute to conservation efforts in his home state. As we send out trips in Vermont in the future, it will be nice to know that Sumner’s work will directly benefit Pine Islanders for years to come.
